Hello, my name is Merle Moustafa. Welcome to my tiny company, Merle’s Kitchen. I am a small batch local producer of Turkish Delight and other Mediterranean specialities based in Lewes, East Sussex. I make all my products by hand, with natural & local seasonal ingredients. All products are based on my Turkish - Cypriot father’s recipes, using traditional Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours. I use local herbs and flowers to bring a touch of the English countryside to my authentic, traditional treats when available. Fresh, handmade Turkish Delight is my speciality. My Turkish Delight has a softer texture than commercially made alternatives and contains no preservatives, so is best eaten as fresh as possible. Naturally suitable for vegans.

Baklava, rose sponge, semolina syrup sponges, polenta cake, macaroons, chocolates, savoury & sweet filo pies, flaounes, pide, with a Middle Eastern / Mediterranean twist.

Wedding and birthday cakes also catered for.

To respect the environment I use biodegradable packaging where possible. All packaging recyclable.
All ingredients are sourced locally where possible, all are natural, no additives are used and all are suitable for vegetarians.
